Warren Holz has over 20 years of theatrical makeup experience and has been designing wigs and makeup professionally for several years. Many have seen his work on TV for Nicea, Reagan, and Angie from "Good Things Utah" as well as the rest of the channel 4 team for daily news broadcasts. He has also made and designed wigs for Aleen Quin who played "Annie" in the 1980 movie Musical, and Erin Moran AKA Joanie Cunningham form "Happy Days".
At the Tuacahn Amphitheater In St. George Utah, Warren designed the wigs, prosthetics and make up for "The Beauty and the Beast", "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat", "The wizard of Oz", "The King and I" and "The Unsinkable Molly Brown". He is currently designing "Peter pan", "South Pacific" and "CATS" for the 2006 season. He also designed makeup for Tuacahn's very first production of "Utah" in 1995. Warren works and designs for companies such as; Utah Opera Company, Lagoon Amusement Park, Utah Musical Theatre, and the University of Utah Greek Theatre Festival. Warren also designed the wigs and makeup for Hale Center Theatre's United States Premiere of "The Slipper and the Rose".
When Warren is not doing all of the above he is presenting workshops country wide for the International Thespian Society. He attends yearly state wide conferences for states including; Kansas, Missouri, Georgia and Utah as well being invited as a yearly guest artist for their International Festival in Lincoln Nebraska.
Once a month Warren has a chance to present women who have just been diagnosed with cancer a fresh start. The program is called "Look Good Feel Better" and is offered in association with the American Cancer Society. The ladies are presented with a box of name brand makeup, that they can take home with them, as Warren takes them through basic steps to a natural look. They are then presented with the latest wig options so that when they leave they have the tools to Look Good and Feel Better any time they want. Look Good Feel Better Awarded Warren with the "State Sunrise Award" for the Rocky Mountain Division in 2001. He was also the recipient of "The Quality of Life Award" from the American Cancer Society in 2003.
In 2002 Warren had the opportunity to design hair and makeup for the "Olympic Arts festival Kennedy Center Imagination Celebration of Salt Lake City". Warren currently teaches the makeup courses in the Theatre Department at the University of Utah.
